Head of Laboratory

Diana Ciobotaru, chemist, holds a PhD in Applied Electrochemistry. She is currently working as a chemist at the Environmental Health Center in Cluj-Napoca. Her scientific and research activity focuses on environmental chemistry, and she is specialized in gas-chromatographic and spectrophotometric methods for determining pollutants. She analyzes especially organic pollutants (HAP) and halogenated hydrocarbons from environmental samples. She is interested in human biomonitoring and the possible impact of contaminants on human health. She took part in an exchange program at Louisiana State University.
